Hi I’m Michael Torkildsen, an award-winning photographer with a passion for night sky photography.

I took my first Milky Way image in 2015 with a Canon Rebel T4i and I’ve been hooked every since. My first Milky Way attempt didn’t work out but I nailed it the next night.

Since then I’ve gone on to win major photography competitions and become artist in residence at Deception Pass State Park.

Every year, I make it a point to photograph the night sky and it never gets old. I’m excited to share my proven techniques with you.
