We sailed from San Francisco to Half Moon Bay. It was a beautiful trip of clear skies as we coasted into the marina. We sailed through the free anchor area passing a handful of boats.
As the sunset and twilight approached, fog began to settle in. I knew that there would be a beautiful foggy shot awaiting me in the morning. I woke early before the rest of the crew and quietly grabbed my gear. As I poked my head above deck I was greeted by the beautiful fog.

I took this photo on my first snow camping adventure. It was a fruitful trip as I made new friends, new skills, and a ton of really cool photos. The weather kept giving me shot after shot from minimalist scenes like this to a blazing sunset.
If you go to San Francisco's Nihonmachi (a.k.a. Japantown) You will see the Peace Pagoda. The pagoda is a tower made of five copper-clad conical roofs that rise into the air. It doesn’t look like this at all, until you walk underneath and look up.
Not strictly a B&W image, it is mostly monochrome except for the graffiti on the bridge.
